Cultural disconnection to nature in North America is causing words to describe the natural world to go extinct To bring awareness to this phenomenon and combat it, we are gathering to conduct a word search meets scavenger hunt.
Participants will be split into small groups and be given a list of nature-related words currently at risk of extinction. Your task is to find a plant, creature, or phenomenon that can be described using a word (or few) on your list.
Afterwards, we will gather to share what we found over snacks and refreshments!

Join us for a chill beach day with friends! We’ll have yummy snacks and bevvies, chill music, and a few activities to have fun and make new friends.
We’ll start with some structured games (including a sandcastle building contest judged by strangers!) and convos before transitioning into just hanging out. Feel free to come alone or with friends, but either way be ready to connect with other people excited to soak in the sun, dive in the water, and spark new friendships.
Those that register as a supporter will receive a complimentary Kithship pin as a thank you gift for your support.
Join a group of 5-7 community members in your neighbourhood to exchange meals weekly. Explore new foods, gain new skills, and make new friends.
Community members that register will answer a few questions about their food requirements and preferences and be matched with people with similar needs and tastes in their neighbourhood. After that you will meet up with your club weekly to exchange meals. Each person is responsible for bringing a serving for each member of the club.
Beyond weekly meetups with your group to exchange meals, you’ll be the first to be invited to Kithship Village exclusive educational events such as cooking classes, community garden tours, and foraging workshops.
This initiative serves many purposes:
Helps individuals, especially those living alone, to save money through encouraging and justifying bulk purchasing and preparation that reduces overall food costs and time spent preparing food.
Facilitates social eating, associated with positive health outcomes.
Promotes intentionality around food sourcing, preparation, and consumption.
In order for community to thrive, we need to be intentional, reciprocal, and consistent. This club’s purpose to connect you with other people that want those same things and value the beauty and importance of food as a vessel of community care.
This round of registration is open until April 30th, 2026. Groups will be matched in May.
